Women can do anything.  Yes, even internet marketing.  Just look at the blogs you can find on www.ning.com.   Endless examples of successful women marketing their websites can be found on this lively online social network.

Special angles for women internet marketers to explore can be found at Diane Coriette’s blog that specifically targets issues in internet marketing that are pertinent to women.  Over 420 members openly discuss their marketing strategies, in an exciting, refreshing way.  Why is this different from the typical male internet marketing experience?

Blogs work!  Over 6,000 women surveyed described how blogs helped them make purchasing decisions.  Women want to know what other people think, in particular, other women.  Testimonials are very powerful for women, and they will read them and carefully consider the content.

Reputation is Everything!  For savvy women in internet business who are dealing with other business owners and internet marketers, reputation is critical.  Women want to deal with people who are proven to be trustworthy, respectful, and effective.  It’s just not enough to “talk the talk,” they have to “walk the walk,” too.   The flip side of this, is that savvy women are highly invested in their own business reputation, and are highly likely to conduct their business in a way that promotes their reputation positively and expands their internet presence quickly.

The Great Equalizer…..Many women who have tried the corporate world have left, feeling defeated by expectations and comparisons that are irrelevant.  Although many women can compete equally with men in the corporate setting, taking away the “setting” seems to equal the playing field in an unprecedented way.  Internet marketing changes the image that any business person projects to others, making actual skills much more relevant than appearance, speaking voice, handshake style, or any other concrete, physical attribute.  This can give many women entrepreneurs additional confidence they are looking for, without having any of the traditional expectations interfere with an “image.”

There are many ways in which men and women differ in the business world.  The Internet can be very different than the typical business world, and may allow many women to achieve business success previously unattainable.
